RL Mortgage solutions was set up by Lee Carthew and Robert Hefferman to supply a professional, knowledgeable mortgage broker service to clients, whilst keeping the process friendly and unopressive.

A Brief History

Lee and Robbie have been giving financial advice for over 15 years between them now.

Lee started his career as an independent financial adviser with Royal London back in the 90s where he qualified for the full financial planning certificate. He later moved to the Royal bank of Scotland (where he met Robert) as an adviser, where he decided to focus on mortgage advice. Frustrated with the constraints of not being able to advise on the entire market, and having to disappoint clients, he moved to an independent mortgage brokers where he gained further Cemap qualifications. After a few years there he and Robert decided to start RL Mortgage Solutions so that they could offer and control the kind of service they had been striving for.

Robert, or Robbie as his friends call him, started his financial services career at the Royal bank of Scotland where he quickly established himself as a premier adviser, attaining annual top level accolades on more than one occasion. Here he obtained his Cemap qualifications and went on to become the area training manager for mortgages in the north west, responsible for training over 80 advisers . As with Lee he was frustrated at the level of advice he could offer to clients and wanted to provide a complete one stop shop for mortgage related services including insurances.
